Welcome to the very first. That's a good introduction. Hi, welcome to the very first episode of Tech It or Leave It. I'm your host, Adrian Ching.
And I'm Elly, Adrian's content strategist, and I'm pretty much the one making this podcast happen for you. I mean, yeah, you have been talking about starting a podcast for ages. How long has it been again?
Um, probably a few years now. Um, yeah. Are you saying I—I didn’t do anything? No, I was just saying that you were waiting for the right person to show up, and that’s me.
Yes. Well, I mean, you made it happen, so. Well, I was joking, but yeah, this is our very first episode. Very excited.
Let's kick things off with the name Tech It or Leave It. I might have come up with the name, but I'll let you do the honors, um, explaining why we chose it.
Yeah. So, in order to kind of understand that a little bit further, we will run through a little bit on how this podcast is going to go. First of all, we are going to be bringing business owners in who have already made it in the tech industry and used tech to basically grow their business. And we will also be bringing entrepreneurs who are currently growing their business and would like to grow with tech. So what essentially it means is that we're going to talk about all things tech here, and whoever that’s listening—all our listeners—you can take the advice, apply it to your own business, or just leave it. Just listen to it, and that's all.
Yeah. It's like if you want to take our insights on growing your business and going digital, we are here to give it to you. But if you don’t, then hey, you can leave it.
Yeah. And maybe you’ll get left behind. So.
Yeah, exactly. We just want entrepreneurs to realize how important tech is for their business. Um, especially now with AI blowing up. You are seeing people make money with software, building their own platforms, and bringing tech into whatever business they are doing. I mean, that's the game now. Uh, basically what we are trying to do here is level the playing field for non-technical entrepreneurs by giving you what's needed—all the information, all the tips—to help you create impactful, modern tech solution for your business. That's always been the focus. Yeah.
So we've got the name figured out: Tech It or Leave It. I say that's a pretty strong title for a podcast. So yeah, let's start with this: Who is Adrian, and why should people listen to you when it comes to tech? Well, don't listen to me, okay?
Do not listen to him.
Don't, don’t, don’t ever listen to whatever I say. Don’t believe everything I say. Uh, go validate yourself. But okay, back to the topic. Who am I? Uh, I have been running Upstack Studio for the past 8 years. I have been in the software industry for the past 10 years, and I’ve seen a lot of different things, right? How things like AI is disrupting the industry, how we have helped a lot of clients build their tech solutions, right, to grow their business. And we've helped companies like Daikin, we've helped companies from the US, from Australia, you know, various different countries build their application, build their tech solution in order to either sell it to their customers or even to digitalize their whole business.
So, uh, we've been doing that for the past 8 years as a company, and yeah, that's how I think I am qualified, in a way, to share with all the non-technical entrepreneurs out there so that we can be where you come to for advice for things that you need help on for building technical products, right? So that we can share with you all the knowledge that we have learned from working with our clients and even talking to entrepreneurs out there who might not be our clients, right? But then they have done great job with their tech-enabled products and tech-enabled businesses so that, you know, we can share more of these advice with you guys, and you can take it or leave it.
Yep. I agree. I say you are definitely qualified with 10 years in the industry. You've seen it all. You've seen the struggles, and you know the right process for actually bringing tech into a business the right way.
